Try to match your drawing to the magazine image as closely as possible. Subject matter is your choice. You may use drawing pencils or colored pencils.

Please visit the site above, showing a variety of patterns and textures possible for your wood burning project. The device used to bake the clay is called a KILN, not KILM!
Stages of clay, from softest to hardest: 1) Greenware ... fresh, moist, moldable. 2) Leather Hard ... still cool to touch (water still trapped inside). Not ready for the kiln just yet. 3) Bisqueware ... fired once. 4) Glazeware ... glaze is applied, and it is fired again.
Remember you may use one of the wooden plaques I have in the art room, or you may choose a wooden item from home. (Cutting board, wooden spoon, jewelry box, etc.)
